How to Create an Individual Development Plan (IDP)

Individual Development Plans are your employees' roadmap for growth and development, which help align their professional ambitions within the company's strategy. This fosters the employees' collaboration, accountability and sense of direction.

📝 Here is a step-by-step guide on creating an Individual Development Plan (IDP)

1. Navigate to

2. In the left side panel, click "IDPs"

3. Click "Create IDP"

4. To view and edit your IDP, click "Show details"

5. From here, you have the option to either start blank or start from template. Click "Start from template" to see suggested templates for your IDP

6. Choose your preferred template from the given options

7. Click "Apply"

8. You can customize the template from here. Remove those that are not applicable to your plan and add more details as you see fit

9. You can also assign action items to your team members by clicking the silhouette profile icon at the bottom of the page.

10. From the available options, click the specific person you want to assign your action item to

11. To add a due date, click the "No due date" field.

12. Choose your due date from the pop-calendar that will appear on the screen. The changes will be saved automatically
