Slack Setup

The Slack integration adds a bot to your Slack workspace and allows you to connect to with one click.  See What Does the Slack Application Do and What Event Does Peoplelogic aggregate from Slack for more information on the events that aggregates and how to use the Slack application.

NB: Lexi by will only aggregate information about conversations in public channels that the application has been invited to. Individual conversations are not able to be aggregated.

You must have admin access to your account.  If you don't, point your administrator to this page to have them set up the integration.
You must be able to add new Slack applications to your Slack workspace.

Now it's time to connect and Slack.  First, click the + icon and then Add Integration in Peoplelogic's platform.  Alternatively, find the application in the Slack marketplace and click Install.

Next, scroll through the integrations until you find Slack, and then click "Install Slack App".

Next, you'll be taken to Slack to authorize the connection between and Slack.  You will need to login to Slack to authorize for your account.  The screen should look something like the following.  Click Allow to finish the installation.

You'll be returned to and the installation will be complete.

Be sure to invite the Lexi by bot into the channels you wish to receive insights.  If you don't invite the bot, you won't receive insights! To do this, simply:

Open your Slack App and click +Add Apps.
Type in 'Lexi by Peoplelogic' to connect Lexi to your organization's Slack app.
Go to EACH public channel you'd like to measure insights for and type '@Lexi' to fully integrate the bot.

Testing will start aggregating the events during its following scheduled aggregation run and you should see events in the main dashboard timeline.
