OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) are more than just a way to track performance—they help your team focus on what truly matters and make an impact. In IMPACT, we’ve made creating Objectives straightforward and aligned with your growth and success.
With clear objectives and measurable key results, you can simplify performance management, providing your team with the clarity, alignment, and motivation they need to reach their full potential.
You can create an objective in IMPACT from several places:
From the “My Objectives” screen.
From the user profile screen.
From the team profile screen.
Just press the Create Objective button on these screens.
The Objective title should be simple, clear, and aspirational—something that inspires action and drives impact. We want every Objective to help align your team around real outcomes rather than overwhelming complexity.
Assign each Objective to a team or user, focusing primarily on company-wide, department, and team goals first. This approach ensures that Objectives are aligned with overall impact, reinforcing collaboration and shared growth.
Use the status to indicate your level of confidence in achieving the Objective. This transparency helps teams stay aligned and adapt when priorities shift.
There are 4 statuses:
On track
At risk
Behind
Postponed (postponed Objectives are not counted when calculating the Objective progress on Dashboard).
Key Results are how you measure the success of your Objective. Ensure each Key Result is tied to measurable outcomes—keeping things simple and focused so that progress is clear.
Each Key Result has:
Title.
Owner. One owner per Key Result. It’s best when there’s only one person accountable for the result.
Start / Current / Target values.
The defaults is “0 / 0 / 100”, or 0% to 100% progress.
Use 0 / 0 / 1 for binary goals.
Feel free to customize to your needs. It can be decreasing (for example: “300 / 250 / 100”), works with negative numbers (for example: “-10 / 0 / 25”).
The progress of the Key Result is calculated as (Current - Start) / (Target - Start) 100%.
Key Result weight coefficient.
The default is “1x”.
Objective progress is calculated as a weighted average (mean) of the Key Results.
Select the Objective cycle. It’s the planning timeframe that this OKR will fall under and is being worked on (see below).
To cascade your Objective with other Objectives in the current cycle, search the parent Objective that you want to align with.
If you align your Objectives, they will cascade on the team profile screen.
OKRs can be Public or Private, but we encourage transparency where possible. Sharing Objectives promotes alignment across teams and ensures everyone understands how their work contributes to the bigger picture.
