One of the guiding principles of Nova is that work doesn't just happen in a single place. At our first public launch, we support both Slack and email for interacting with the Nova team. Getting started it easiest by installing the Slack application - it will guide you through everything as soon as you install:

During initial setup, there are two options for you to choose from:

1. A standalone workspace

If you click the green Create Workspace button you'll be asked to confirm that you want to create a new account. We'll create a Peoplelogic workspace that matches your Slack workspace and you'll be set as the owner of it (meaning you can add new users to it).

Just click Confirm and we'll keep guiding you through the process!

2. Connecting Peoplelogic Impact

Nova is intended to work hand in hand with our performance suite, Impact. As such, if you already have an Impact account we make it easy to connect the two together. Just click on the white Connect Impact Workspace and then fill in your workspace alias (for example ours is 'peoplelogic', but yours is usually the piece after https://app.plai.team when you access Impact):

Just fill in your alias and click Submit and we'll help you finish the setup.

Ongoing Interactions with Nova

All functions of Nova are supported within the Slack interface. To interact with Nova, simply start a direct message with the application.

As you can see below, Nova within Slack allows you to carry out multiple simultaneous interactions at one time through Slack Threads.

In addition, Nova also allows for you to invite the application into a channel with you where you can interact with it in a public way. Just @mention Nova with your queries and it will carry out a conversation with you in the channel.

Finally, Slack interactions with Nova are meant to feel natural. For example, when you need to share files with Nova, just drag and drop them as you would every day in Slack.

As always, we're here to help! If you have any questions, please feel free to just click the link in the header of this site and submit a ticket to us.
