Nova - Getting Started with Slack

At launch, Nova requires Slack. Slack offers both free and paid versions. If you want to try this out without connecting to your work Slack, just setup a new Slack workspace!
Installing the application for Slack
Installation is easy, just click one of the buttons from the Nova website that looks like the button below (that one isn't clickable!):
This will take you to a standard application for Slack installation screen where Slack talks about what access Nova needs to your workspace.
The TLDR of these permissions is that Nova is able to read messages and access the files that you upload to it in conversations that you invite it to (ie. a channel) or have with it directly.
Once you click Allow - it will redirect you you to Slack and Nova will guide you through the rest of the setup as shown below.
Click Create Workspace and Nova will pick up the details from your Slack workspace to make an account and then you can start your free trial!
Starting a free trial is not tied to the organization that manages your Slack account. You can choose to enter a personal card, corporate card or even pay with Apple Pay.
Just enter whatever payment details work for you and click Start trial. Nova will notice that you've entered your payment details and you're all set!
What should I do first?
There are lots of different things you can try - but the easiest is to personalize the workspace to your organization.
Nova learns as you provide it context and information. We recommend uploading a few documents to help "train" Nova in your organization's voice and culture. If you choose, you can upload some or all of the below documents. That said, we encourage you to upload additional documents and experiment with searching and querying the information in different contexts!
