With Peoplelogic's new Department Experience, creating and mapping Departments, nesting Teams and Employees, and deactivating inactive user profiles has never been easier! Additionally, we've dramatically improved our entire system’s performance, with special emphasis on delivering faster insights and bringing to life the underlying ONA Graph (which powers the entire platform). With these changes, you are now well-positioned to use the platform as your organizational network's single source of truth.

Closing Thoughts:
At this time, you can only map 1 Team per 1 Department (meaning you cannot currently map the same team to multiple departments).
You can easily bulk activate/deactivate departments, teams, and employees by selecting each profile you’d like to perform the action for, then clicking the three dots next to the Actions tab to confirm your action.
Our team has found it’s easier to create new Teams first before building new Departments, which allows you to easily nest each team (and those teams' employees) to their correct departments. However, the process of creating new Team/Department profiles can be done in the reverse (meaning you can create new Departments before you create new Teams).
When entering Department ‘Types’, you can enter any type you like (since it’s a free-text field). However, we would suggest naming the Department Type “General”, "Operations”, “Support”, etc. for streamlined platform navigation.
Once you’ve created, saved, and nested your new Departments/Teams, navigate to the platform Home Page to drill down into how each department, team, and employee connect via the main Department Graph.
For any platform action you take, you should receive a platform prompt reading ‘Successfully Saved’. If you receive a prompt reading ‘An Error Occurred’ please contact your PL Customer Success Manager.
We hope this new experience provides you with deeper platform value further and allows you to organize your company in a departmental overview - just the way you like!
See you next time 👋
